This is a pair of Japanese full size 8" knob cutters for branch removal close into the trunk of the tree. They are also used for shaping out the tops of trunk chops for quicker bark healing process. When cutting a branch in close to the trunk, hollowing out can cause the scar tissue to heal over quickly with just a slight raising of the bark. Intermediate to pro use tool.
