Bonsai Kitten or The Great Kitty Cat Adoption
531jpg Bonsai Kitten Princess Roach This is our newest family member. Her name is Princess Roach the bonsai kitty cat our new bonsai kitten mascot. She adopted us recently, or someone or her mother brought her to us. This is the story of her short life as I understand it so far. I'm daddy Allen Roach, 54 and I have a Formosan (Taiwanese descent) wife Helen Roach, 44 and we have one son Kyle Roach, 11. I call my son Kyle(Oneyoungson), kind of sounds oriental. He calls me Daddy-O, because we have a toy business together called DaddyO-toys.com. We used to have a dog my son named Moki. But he got hit by a car a few years back. Since then my son has been bugging us for a new pet. We live in a small place and another dog is out of the question. 3 weeks ago he went camping with the other royal rangers from our church down on the Escambia River wild area and thought he saw a Florida Panther. A few days before that he got an old National Geographic and had torn out some cards on the wild cats of the world and was showing them to every one. Now I don't know if this is connected or not, but I think I might have been being set up. While oneyoungson Kyle was gone for the weekend, we got some needed rest. My wife was gone off all saturday until evening and I, took some rare time off to lay on the sofa in peace and Quite!!! But I kept hearing what sounded like a cat off somewhere mewing, or maybe it was something else, or at the neighbors. Later in the early evening I went outdoors and there was this very tiny mewing kitten. It came toward me from out of the bushes gingerly, but somewhat playfully. I said to myself, no way jose. Mama cat is taking care of you and she's coming back. But it didn't look so good and I thought it might be hungry. So I went and got a little bowl of milk and put it by the bushes. It drank some. But, no way, no cat, thats it, I wonder where the nearest pound is anyway. I wonder if one of my neighbors did this, since we have a son. Ge wiz,I'm not going to have my heart melted on this one. I didn't say anything that evening when my wife came home. Later we went to bed and that kitty mewed off and on through the night. When we got up the next morning to get ready for church, I went to the door just to check the milk mind you, not that my heart was being melted by this unusual event, full of circumstances, taking place. Well, I didn't see anything. We continued getting ready for church and my wife heard the kitty mewing. H said she thought she had heard a kitty mewing during the night and she was hearing something right now! H went for the door and saw immediately a small kitten. I went out also and pointed out the dish of milk. H asked how long I knew this kitten was there, I said since yesterday. She wondered all the same things I did as to where it came from and why it was there at our place. H said what are you Daddy going to do about it. I said lets wait until after church when we picked up one young son from his church campout. When we got home the kitten was not to be seen. Maybe kitty cat mom came and got her offspring, NOT!!! Because she was at the door and mewed her final outdoor time. Oneyoungson Kyle with ears to hear only what he wants to hear EXCLAIMED THERE IS A KITTEN AT OUR FRONT DOOR. I said go-on, what was a kitten doing at our door? He opened it and mom went out with him and they were loving on it, by the time I got there. Oneyoungson is exclaiming where did it come from, and well who, what, where, when, and why. Mom pointed out the dish of milk DaddyO had put out for it the day before. It was then and there, that we all knew that this kitten was going to be the newest member of the Roach family!!!
