Rich Earth Humic shale is a humus mineral compost soil conditioner, composed of decomposed plant material that is high in humic acid for your bonsai. For some time I have noticed how deficient commercial fertilizers are in nutrients for bonsai. I have been experimenting for some time with organic fertilizers. Simple, easy to use kinds straight out of the bag so to speak. The Japanese have for some years used organic cakes, pellets, etc that had a certain NPK, however they also contained limited trace minerals usually from sea weeds, etc. Some of these cake fertilizers, you have to make yourself from ocmmon recipes. My answer to this need has been our super restore fertilizer, that we highly recommend. Now we also offer Rich Earth humic acid shale humus soil conditioner. Although itmis not a fertilizer, however it is a super mineral compost. It 45% humic acid, 14% fulvic acid, iron 2.25%, sulphur 1.5% and contains 70 other trace minerals necessary for super plant developement. Plants generally look for and sometimes find this material in natural soil for the necessary building blocks of a healthy plant. Bonsai soil and most other soils do not contain these acids and this many trace elements available to the tree. The solids in the 5# bag is added straight to the bonsai at the rate of 2tbs per plant or more without harm along with our recommended super restore fertilizer. The 12% concentrated liquid in the qt. size is mixed 2tbs. per gallon for general watering. These products are environmentally safe and packaged in an ARC facility for the handicapped and a portion of the proceeds benefit them.
