This is an outdoor flowering wisteria bonsai tree. It is planted in a coppery extra deep 10" pot. The height above the soil is 17". This is the floribunda type of flowering wisteria. This is considered a very hardy bonsai. The Florida type is considered best for smaller bonsai since the compound leaves usually are 9 to 15 with flower racemes about 6 inches long or so compared to the Japanese variety with leaves 13 to 19 and flowers 8 to 20 inches long. This bonsai has been worked on for about 5 years now. It will not likely flower this year, but might next year. This tree grows at a very rapid rate and requires constant attention. Trimming is necessary to make for a lot of branching. You can cut it just about anywhere during the year up through fall. These trees require a lot of water constantly and are very heavy feeders. They are good to Kentucky, and further north if you take winter precautions. I will have one to two of these a year now available. Use a 13" oval drip tray for display.
